25 special Land Rover Defenders bring back memories of the Camel Trophy

Land Rover Classic will release 25 Defenders that have been transformed into Works V8 Trophy expedition SUVs, modeled after iconic off-road racers of the past.

The in-house tuner will work with the Defender 90 and 110 models produced between 2012 and 2016 and will bring each one with the same equipment and technology as the Defender Works V8 70th Edition, which was launched on the model’s 70th anniversary.

A 5.0-liter non-turbo V8 under the hood uses a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, a two-range transfer case and improved differentials to generate up to 405 PS (400 PS / 298 kW) and 515 Nm (380. ) getting on the wheels lb-ft) torque.

All cars are painted Eastnor Yellow with Narvik Black accents. Other differentiators include a retro-style grille, 16-inch stainless steel wheels, mud tires, additional LED lights, a winch, an external roll cage, and a roof rack.

Open the door and discover Recaro seats in Windsor leather with yellow contrasting stitching, a clock in Elliot Brown and a Classic Infotainment System with navigation and smartphone integration functions.

All buyers will be invited to take part in a three day tournament at the Land Rover Experience Center in Eastnor Castle, Herefordshire, England.

Pre-orders run from 195,000 euros.
