A RESCUE team was called to Pen y Fan earlier this week after a woman suffered a “nasty” cut on the eye.
The Brecon mountain rescue service was called to the fallen woman on Wednesday afternoon.

“A rush party was sent to inspect the lady, where one of our team paramedics, who was off duty, was treating the lady on site,” said mountain rescue in a post on Facebook
“She was confident that, with the support of the team members, she could walk off the mountain herself.
“A stretcher was sent up in case the lady changed her mind, but she managed to get all the way down.
“The lady and her husband went to the hospital for treatment.
“Many thanks to Central Beacons MRT for being ready if we needed help. We wish the lady a speedy recovery.”
