Discovery Plus has commissioned Chimpanzee TV and Kremlin Forest to produce”Richard Hammond’s workshop“(Working title), a new six-part documentary series starring the former Top Gear co-host who is setting out to found a renowned classic car restoration and repair company near his hometown Herefordshire.
In the program, Hammond will work to learn the business of restoration from the ground up. He is accompanied by the father-son duo Neil and Anthony Greenhouse, who actually know what they’re doing. The series will also feature members of Hammond’s family and provide a glimpse into the person behind the person made famous through “Top Gear” and “The Grand Tour”.
“I’ve spent 25 years criticizing other people’s cars and now I put my own work out there,” Hammond said in a press release. “My grandfather was a car mechanic, who knows, maybe I’ve inherited some of his skills! So this is a real business, a real project, and I really hope people enjoy watching the highs and inevitable lows throughout the series! “

All3Media has closed several important deals for the new one Stan Original and Spectrum originals Thriller series “Eden,” produced by Any cloud production Fiona Eagger and Deb Cox (“Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries”) and Balloon entertainment (“Clique, kiss me first”). The contemporary thriller was written by Channel Plus in France, CMore in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden and sky in New Zealand, which launched as the Stan Original Series in Australia earlier this month. It will premiere in the US on July 12th on Spectrum Originals. In an idyllic coastal community, “Eden” takes place when the disappearance of a young woman sets off a series of traumatic events that uncover a dark core in the center of would-be paradise.

An important step into the European market, Wurl has started a strategic partnership with the streaming platform Rakuten TV to provide live streaming channels and monetization services to the streamer and its channel app Samsung TV Plus throughout Europe. Wurl delivers 241 feeds from more than 50 station brands in 42 countries on Rakuten TV and Samsung TV Plus. Video asset delivery and monetization are provided through Wurls Wu Ad pool Platform. Wurl is currently also working with Samsung TV Plus and LG in order to launch further European station brands in the future.
ACQUISITION
International indie distributor Align has appropriated the reality format “Where does the money go?”For worldwide distribution and included the first sale of the program Cable 1 in Germany, where it is produced by sweetheart. The original is a Skyhigh TV Production for NPO1 in the Netherlands, where a second season was recently commissioned. The show is a heavy hitter in its time window and follows four families from different socio-economic situations who are tasked with setting a monthly budget and saving a predetermined amount during this time.
