A MURDER suspect held his ex-partner’s clothes, including her underwear, under his pillow and sprayed her perfume on them and also left a noose on her farm so he could “hang” himself, a court heard.
Mark Chilman denies the murder of Neil Parkinson, whose body was found in the driver’s seat of his burned-out BMW at a rest stop on Ankeridge Road, Cotheridge, on the A44 Bromyard-Worcester Road.
The 66-year-old’s body was found in the car on December 12th last year after neighbors discovered the fire and called the fire department.

Chilman’s trial began today in Worcester Crown Court.
District Attorney Mark Heywood QC said Juliet Adcock ended her “unhappy relationship” with Chilman and started a new relationship with Mr. Parkinson.
Mr. Heywood described that Chilman left “morbid items” on the farm where he lived with Ms. Adcock, including memorial plaques for deceased dogs and a noose to “hang” himself from.
The court heard that he never had a key to the courtyard.
Chilman, 52, of the Old Post Office, Pencombe, Bromyard, had clothes from Mrs. Adcock in Pencombe, including a sweater and two pairs of underwear that he had brought with him when he left six weeks ago, the court heard.
District Attorney Mark Heywood QC said, “He stated that he kept the items under his pillow.
“He sprayed her top with a perfume that Juliet Adcock used and bought on the Internet. He kept that under the pillow and cuddled it every night before bed.”
He told the police that this was because he was “still in love with her” and it “reminded him of her”.
The process continues.
