The Land Rover Defender Works V8 Trophy returns for a limited tribute to the run

– Homage to the enduring expedition legacy of the legendary 4×4

– Only 25 units will be made

Land Rover Classic brought back the original Defender with a production of the Works V8 Trophy for an exclusive competition at Eastnor Castle in 2021. Based on the revised Defender Works V8 2012-2016, the Trophy pays homage to the offroader’s famous expedition tradition and will have a limited edition of only 25 units in 90 and 110 body styles.

Land Rover Classic has built the 405 hp 5.0-liter V8 into the Works V8 Trophy, which is combined with the new eight-speed ZF automatic. Under the skin there are upgraded suspension, steering and braking packages, while the bespoke Trophy vehicles receive a number of additional upgrades specifically tailored for off-road use.

The additional all-terrain kit includes a front winch, multi-point expedition cage, roof rack, underbody protection, A-bar, raised air intake, LED spotlights and mud tires.

Later that year, Defender Works V8 Trophy customers will be invited to an exclusive three-day adventure at Eastnor Castle, Herefordshire – the spiritual home of Land Rover off-road training, testing and development. This is the first time customers drive their car. When customers and their passengers see their custom-made Trophy 4×4 for the first time, they make their first mark by adding their names and country flags to the vehicle. You will then face a series of challenges inspired by iconic global adventures and competitions spanning more than seven decades of Land Rover production.

As part of the adventure, one-on-one tuition will be given to develop extreme driving techniques and skills in your vehicle before the training is put to the test. Everyone will be competing for a range of prizes, including an overall winner grand prize that will be announced in 2021. Prices for each Defender Works V8 trophy start at £ 195,000 for the 90 in the UK.
