Many thanks to Herefordshire’s Martha Trust

As the Covid restrictions wear off and we return to a more normal life, I wanted to publicly express my gratitude and admiration for the work the Martha Trust is doing in Hereford.

It is a nursing home that looks after severely disabled young people for life.

I have personal experience with their skills, experience and dedication providing residents with a quality of life that I believe is unsurpassed.

During the pandemic, staff have brought vulnerable residents to safety, and while families have been unable to visit, they have provided the loving care, hugs and hand movements that families have missed so much.

Residents’ individual needs are met in a loving, safe home environment where employees who look beyond the disability can nurture and respect the personalities of those they care for and have the opportunity to thrive and reach their potential.

The wonderful work that such nursing homes are doing in these Covid times is a glimmer of hope for families and a tribute to the people in Hereford.
