Budding photography students at Herefordshire School

Aspiring student photographers were brought in for their most recent work by a renowned Herefordshire photographer.

Nearly 200 aspiring photography students at Fairfield High School in Peterchurch have taken photos to showcase their artistic talents and compete for a place on their 2022 calendar.

Billie Charity, the award-winning Hay-on-Wye photographer and co-curator of the Thru the Lens photo gallery, judged the competition.

She was faced with the difficult task of narrowing the entries down to the last thirteen.

“It was an absolute pleasure to see the quality, creativity and talent of the students at Fairfield High School,” she said.

“It was a great challenge to select the final winning photos from so many wonderful pictures. I hope that all participants in the competition will continue their interest in photography.”

Each winning shot will appear on a colored page on the 2022 calendar sponsored by generous local companies.

It challenged students of all ages to submit their best work on the subject of “My Environment”.

Students rose to the challenge using a variety of materials, from images of everyday life to breathtaking landscapes.
