The 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham have started exclusive voting for West Midlands residents ahead of the regular voting in September.

From July 14th to 30th, people from the region can apply for tickets; more than a million are available for the games in total. Prices start at £ 8 for under 16s and £ 15 for adults. Organizers say that even for the most expensive sessions – including medal sessions and opening and closing ceremonies – £ 22 worth of tickets will be available to make the games as accessible as possible.

Birmingham 2022 organizers say the choice is open to residents of the West Midlands, as defined by the Office of National Statistics – which includes people living in Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands and Worcestershire. The organizers have also put a zip code checker on their website so the public can check eligibility.

IMG has expanded its media senior management team with the appointment of Ross Hair as SVP, Head of EMEA.

Hair previously held a number of senior media roles with various organizations that included both sports and entertainment positions in Europe and Asia, including as SVP, Commercial EMEA at Scripps Networks (now Discovery), Managing Director, ESPN EMEA from 2010-2014, and EVP, International Networks EMEA, Sony Pictures Television International.

British Rowing has announced a new employee wellbeing partnership with Yoke Consultancy, a specialist consultancy building “resilient and sustainable cultures” for employees, teams and organizations.

The collaboration between Yoke and a group of British Rowing employees, which began in April 2021, focuses on measurement (through the Human Sustainability Index), individual reflection and group discussion so that employees can better manage change and be successful in the work environment.
