Unique opportunity for Herefordshire’s tourism businesses

Visit Herefordshire urges businesses connected to the tourism and visitor industries to join them when they host a Tourism Summit at Hereford Cathedral on Wednesday.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn how Visit Herefordshire has been focusing on tourism recreation since August 2020, investing the specific recreational funds in marketing and PR.

Learn about the potential to grow Herefordshire’s visitor economy, work with partnerships to shape the future of the destination and share ideas on how all stakeholders can play their part.

Keynote speeches will be given by Jo Hilditch, chairman of the Visit Herefordshire Steering Group, and Joe Evans on plans for the national destination BID, as well as guest speakers including Lyn Hughes, founding editor of the travel magazine Wanderlust.

There is an opportunity to better understand the county’s target markets and get the most out of Visit Herefordshire’s content through themed walks, cycle paths and tours.

“Visit Herefordshire has been largely reinvented in the last 12 months and we have exciting news on the following topics.

“We really want to make sure that we end up with as many of our touristic providers and visitor attractions as possible so that as many as possible can participate and benefit from the initiatives to get messages for the good for our entire economy,” said Jo Hilditch .

You will also have the opportunity to learn more about the county’s towns and cities at the Tourist Information Centers and City Ambassadors, as well as a number of free workshops with tips and ideas on how to promote your business work on how to make your business more newsworthy and learn about sustainability best practices.
