Woman ‘lucky to go away’ from Herefordshire crash

A woman had a happy escape after a crash in Herefordshire this afternoon, firefighters said.

A fire department spokesman said crews from Kingsland and Leintwardine were called shortly before 3 p.m. today about an accident involving a single vehicle near Aymestrey.

The ambulance was also called to the scene.

A woman was trapped under the vehicle and released into the care of paramedics with special tools.

“She was very lucky to get away from this accident,” said a Kingland Fire Station spokesman.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called to a remote property in the Aymestrey area of ​​Herefordshire at around 2:40 pm Thursday afternoon to tell of a woman trapped under a car.

“An ambulance, a paramedic and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival it was found that the incident had happened at slow speed.

“The woman was rescued and examined for potentially serious injuries.

“After on-site treatment, she was taken to Hereford County Hospital in a rural ambulance at normal road speed.”
