SEVERAL road closures are in effect or planned for the remainder of November and into December in Herefordshire.
Here are the current works that are taking place and planned on our streets.
Motorway renovation work
Surface renewal work (possibly also white plastering and tunnel work) and, if necessary, preparatory work.
C1203 Hay Road, Craswall
December 13th up to and including December 16th.
Closed daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. due to paving and paving work.
BRIDGE WORK
C1011 Kinsham Bridge
Work started on June 21st and will be completed by the end of December.
Complete closure around the clock for the demolition of the existing bridge deck and replacement of the new bridge deck.
DRAINAGE WORK
Excavation of the carriageway as part of the improvement of the local drainage system.
Lane on the A466 Llancloudy (The Moors Road from Llantywaun Brook to A466 Llancloudy)
November 29th through December 3rd (inclusive).
Flood protection work on the road surface.
C1099 Tillington to Credenhill
December 6th up to and including December 14th.
Road closed 24 hours a day due to drainage work.
DIFFERENT STREET CLOSURES
Old Gore Crossroads
Road closure phase 1 – B4224 (north of the A449)
October 27th for up to six weeks.
Full closure around the clock for the installation of new traffic lights, street lighting and lane changes.
Phase 2 road closure – B4224 (south of the A449)
December 6th for up to six weeks.
Full closure around the clock for the installation of new traffic lights, street lighting and lane changes.
U71411 Garway Court Lane
Emergency closure due to deterioration of the lane.
C1247 Tregate Lane (from A466), Welsh Newton
Emergency closure of the road due to a collapsed culvert, which washes away the verge and undermines the carriageway.
U66004 Rams Corner, Little Cowarne
Emergency closure of the road because the steep supporting bank to the upper stream has collapsed and the roadway has been undermined.
Penyrhiwiw Road, Longtown
Emergency closure due to deterioration of the lane.
Upper House Farm Road, Walterstone
Emergency closure due to deterioration of the lane.
C1031 Spond Lane, Lyonshall Bridge (Offas Dyke Bridge)
Emergency road closure due to unsafe building / bridge security.
Pig and Pipe Route, Lingen Deerfold
Emergency closure due to the condition of the road.
C1122 Marden – Laystone Bridge
Road closure due to bridge strikes.
