Revealed: This is where people move to Herefordshire from

HEREFORDSHIRE sees more people move to the county, a new report shows.

The Office of National Statistics (ONS) has released new numbers showing the number of people migrating across the country in June 2020.

The ONS figures show that 6,744 people moved to Herefordshire during that time, with 5,921 Herefordians moving to other parts of the country.

This shows that the county’s population is growing steadily and likely to continue to grow as home buyers move to more rural than urban areas.

The data from the ONS report shows that the local authority people are moving back and forth.

These are the areas people have moved to Herefordshire from:

  1. Malvern Hills – 375
  2. Powys – 371
  3. Forest of Dean – 350
  4. Birmingham – 217
  5. Worcester – 200
  6. Monmouthshire – 186
  7. Cardiff – 152
  8. Bristol – 135
